The latest episode of WWE SmackDown took place at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids in Michigan. The King and Queen of the Ring matches continued in SmackDown, while the main event between John Cena and R-Truth for the Undisputed Championship saw a chaotic ending to the proceedings.

LA Knight kicked off WWE SmackDown as he addressed costing Bronson Reed his match against Jey Uso last week, explaining that he avenged Seth Rollins and co. screwing him at the Money in the Bank. After Paul Heyman and Seth Rollins interrupted, they exchanged some words with LA Knight before it turned into a physical altercation. It was later revealed that Reed will face LA Knight later in the night.

The first match of the episode was the Queen of the Ring match between Alexa Bliss and Asuka, with the latter emerging victorious. The King of the Ring Match between Randy Orton and Sami Zayn resulted in the former's victory. Next up, Charlotte Flair defeated Chelsea Green comfortably.

LA Knight next took on Bronson Reed. The former won by disqualification as Bron Breakker knocked him down with a spear. Reed later took advantage of Knight's helpless situation, hitting him with three Tsunamis.

CM Punk interferes as Undisputed Championship Match sees a chaotic ending

The Undisputed Championship match saw R-Truth win by disqualification. As Cena began walking away with the title, R-Truth chased him but copped a blow from the champion, who struck him with the title.

After CM Punk's music hit, Cena got into the ring as the latter landed kicks and right hands on the Undisputed Champion. Nevertheless, Cena got the upper hand by hitting a low blow, followed him striking Punk with the title. After Cena put Punk through the table via the Attitude Adjustment, the undisputed Champion recreated the 46-year-old's promo from 2011, claiming how he plans to leave the WWE with the championship.

In the end, Cena thanked Punk for letting him steal the promo and blew a kiss before SmackDown went off the air.
