The latest episode of WWE RAW took place at the PPG Paints Arena at Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. The fallout from the pay-per-view of the Night of Champions continued as CM Punk attacked Seth Rollins. The main event of the episode saw Penta and Sami Zayn face Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker.
The latest episode of RAW opened with the tag team championship match between Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh and Kofi Kingston and Xavier Roods. Balor and McDonagh toppled the New Day to win the tag team championship, sending the crowd into jubilation. Next up Rusev and Sheamus engaged in a brutal fight, with the former coming out on top after a Machka Kick to the Irishman.
Gunther addressed the WWE Universe next about the Saturday night main event's bout against Goldberg. The WWE World Heavyweight champion says he is confident about a successful defence and feels there's no way Goldberg can take the title back from him.
After Seth Rollins interrupted him, CM Punk attacked Mr. Money in the Bank for costing him the match against John Cena at the Night of Champions.
The women's division was next in action as Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, with the winner set to be the No.1 contender for the Intercontinental championship. The match ended in a draw, infuriating both superstars as a brawl broke out.
The main event saw Breakker and Reed emerge victorious after the former hit Sami Zayn with a massive spear. Reed was preparing to hit The Tsunami but Jey Uso interrupted and struck Breakker with a chair shot at aisleway. Moments later, Uso entered the ring and struck Reed with a chair shot on his head, thereby knocking him out of the ring.
