On July 24, it emerged that the legendary wrestler had died of cardiac arrest in his home in Florida. The report of TMZ also claimed that medics were rushed to the veteran wrestler's home in Florida early morning. Moments later, it came to light that Hogan was carried on a stretcher onto an ambulance.

A few weeks ago, Hogan's wife Sky, who he married in 2023 after being divorced twice, denied rumours that he was in a coma and that the 71-year-old was 'strong', having recovered from his earlier surgeries.

Born on August 11, 1953 in Georgia, Hogan rose to fame quickly and became the face of wrestling on a global level, cementing the status in the 1980s and 1990s. He had storied rivalries against the likes of Andre The Giant, 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior and Iron Sheikh.

He also played an instrumental role in forging the famous faction called the New World Order (NWO) as the likes of Razor Ramon, Kevin Nash and Shawn Michaels comprised of it.
