Suryakumar Yadav is considered one of the dangerous in the shortest format of cricket (T20I). Known as India's Mr 360, the T20I skipper's confidence in unorthodox shots (Supla shot) makes it difficult for bowlers to bowl at him.

During an interaction, he made an interesting revelation about one tennis shot he would like to play on a cricket field. Suryakumar Yadav on road to recovery after sports hernia surgery

Suryakumar Yadav had a successful hernia surgery in Munich, Germany and is currently in recovery. This latest surgery is the third one for Suryakumar Yadav in as many years, following an ankle operation in 2023 and a similar hernia operation in 2024.

He was last seen in action during IPL 2025, where he played a vital role in Mumbai Indians' run to the playoffs. He finished the season with 717 runs - the most by a non-opener in the tournament's history and the highest by any MI batter in a single season.

Surya even featured briefly in the T20 Mumbai League, captaining Triumph Knights Mumbai North East and scoring 122 runs in five innings before deciding to undergo the procedure. The Mumbai cricketer took over leadership of India in T20Is after they won the World Cup in June 2024.
