Spanish Tennis star Carlos Alcaraz crafted an outstanding shot to win a high-octane rally in the Wimbledon 2025 final against Jannik Sinner at the Centre Court, thereby winning the first set. Alcaraz crouched himself and played a ripping forehand, preventing Sinner from reaching out to the ball to return it on time.
Alcaraz entered into the final as an overwhelming favourite to win the contest, having emerged victorious in the last two Wimbledon deciders too. He had also defeated Sinner in the Roland Garros 2025 final; hence, the latter will be keen to avenge that loss. Although Alcaraz went on to win the first set, Sinner hit back by emerging victorious in the second.

"I don't want to think about Sunday, I just want to think about this moment" - Carlos Alcaraz
Speaking after the semi-final win against Taylor Fritz, Alcaraz said the scorching conditions in London made it harder but is proud of the energy level displayed by him. The 22-year-old stated, as quoted by BBC Sport:
"It was a really difficult match. It was tough with the conditions, really hot. I am just happy in the four sets, saving two set points. I am really proud about the way I stayed calm. I am really pleased about my level today. This is my dream, stepping on these kind of courts and playing these beautiful courts at the most beautiful tournaments in the world. That is all I try to think about. I don't want to think about Sunday, I just want to think about this moment."
Sinner, meanwhile, had defeated Novak Djokovic in straight sets to make it to the final.
