Indian cricketer Kuldeep Yadav got engaged to his childhood friend Vanshika in a low-key, private ceremony held in Lucknow on Wednesday. The event, attended by close family members and friends, also saw the presence of fellow Uttar Pradesh cricketers, including India and KKR batsman Rinku Singh and his to be wife MP Priya Saroj. Yadav looked elegant in a cream-coloured, intricately embroidered sherwani, while Vanshika donned a vibrant orange lehenga.
Who is Vanshika?
Born and raised in Shyam Nagar, Lucknow, Vanshika works with LIC and has known Kuldeep since their early years in Kanpur. What began as a childhood friendship gradually blossomed into love, culminating in their engagement surrounded by loved ones. Kuldeep Yadav exchanged rings with Vanshika in a traditional ceremony.
While the couple hasn't made any official announcements on social media, photos from the intimate function quickly went viral
Kuldeep Yadav in IPL 2025
Representing Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025, the 30-year-old left-arm wrist-spinner had a respectable campaign, picking up 15 wickets in 14 matches at a tidy economy rate of 7.08 and a bowling average of 24.07.
Since making his debut for India in 2017, Kuldeep has been a reliable performer across formats, especially in ODIs, where he has claimed over 180 wickets.
His skillful variations, especially the elusive ‘chinaman’ delivery, have often proven to be game-changers for India.
A consistent performer for Team India across all formats, Yadav played key roles in the 2024 T20 World Cup and the 2025 Champions Trophy, further cementing his place as a key figure in the national squad.
