Team India's batting star Virat Kohli displayed a brilliant gesture towards Himanshu Sangwan despite the latter spoiling the veteran batter's return to the Ranji Trophy. In a video surfaced on social media, the Delhi-born cricketer was seen giving his autograph on a ball to Sangwan, who was inevitably awed by the gesture.

The right-arm pace bowler had uprooted Kohli's off-stump with a corker of a delivery after being hit for a boundary to break into wild celebrations. With Kohli making a comeback into the Ranji Trophy after a gap of 12 years, his return lasted only 16 deliveries with the bat, sending the stadium into stunned silence. Although Delhi secured an innings victory, Kohli's wicket still remained the highlight.
Meanwhile, below is the video of Kohli giving his autograph to the 31-year-old on a ball:
"First time in life I saw so many people turning up for a Ranji Trophy game" - Himanshu Sangwan
Right-arm speedster Himanshu Sangwan, who rattled Kohli's stumps in the first innings, claimed that the right-hander's wicket is the most significant of his career. He also revealed that they didn't have any special plans for any batter and said, as quoted by India Today:
"It is the most important wicket of my life. It goes without saying. Virat Kohli is an inspiration to the whole country. First time in life I saw so many people turning up for a Ranji Trophy game. It was special for all of us. We did not plan for one particular batter. The majority of the Delhi batters like to attack so our plan was stick to channel bowling and draw the outside edge."
