Team India's batting star Virat Kohli was one of the handful of cricketers present for Yuvraj Singh's gala dinner function in London. With Kohli getting onto the stage and coming across Chris Gayle, they did the signature celebration. A video of the same surfaced on social media as Gayle was accompanied by the likes of Ravi Shastri and Kevin Pietersen on the stage.

Kohli and Gayle have played for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for several years and were the nucleus of the side that made it to the final in 2011 and 2016. Gayle was also notably present when the Royal Challengers won the IPL this year as Kohli shared the coveted trophy with him and AB de Villiers.

"We shared a very good bond both on and off the field" - Virat Kohli on Yuvraj Singh
Kohli, who also marked his appearance at Wimbledon 2025, recalled his first meeting with Yuvraj and credited him for his growth as a player. The 36-year-old also hailed the former all-rounder for the way he overcome his battle against cancer.
"We shared a very good bond both on and off the field. I met him (Yuvraj) for the first time during a North Zone tournament in Bangalore. When I started playing for India, he, Bhajju Pa and Zaheer Khan took me under their wings. They really helped me grow as a player and made me comfortable in the dressing room. A Lot of fun times off the field, and they made me aware of the lifestyle of getting to the top."
"These are the bonds I will cherish for the rest of my life. Watching him in the World Cup was very special and what we got to know after that was a shock. Then his battle with cancer and again the champion that he is... coming on top and making a comeback to the team when I was leading the team."
