Newly-crowned WWE Undisputed champion John Cena made a massive statement during the press conference after his marquee win at the Wrestlemania 41 main event against Cody Rhodes. In the press conference following the match, Cena's explosive promise of 'ruining wrestling' of Monday Night Raw went viral.
The 47-year-old entered into the main event of Wrestlemania as the 16-time world champion, levelled with the legendary Ric Flair. However, he eclipsed Flair to become a 17-time world champion after beating Cody Rhodes via pinfall. However, Cena resorted to a cheap shot by hitting a low blow and followed it up by striking him with the championship belt.
In the presser following the match, Cena told the reporters:
"You guys are just looking for headlines, I'll just give you one. Tune into Monday Night Raw to see how I ruin wrestling. And Keep in mind, you are now talking to the last real champion."
"I love where John’s head is at" - Triple H
In a press conference after the the marquee event, HHH said he is enjoying Cena's character quite a lot since he is doing as per what the fans demanded. He stated, as quoted by USA Today:
"I love where John’s head is at. I love that John Cena — he’s the flip of a coin right now. And the funny thing is that people were flipping the coin for him before. Now he’s flipping the coin, right? So all the things that they — they booed John, they were relentless on him, they pushed him to be great in some ways, but it was — you know, it was not easy for him sometimes. And I think now he gets to be the puppet master and he gets to flip that coin for them, and be the polar opposite to everything he was before."
