The event, held in the Roosevelt Room, marked Trump’s official move to reinstate the traditional fitness initiative through an executive order. The president went on to applaud Triple H’s involvement, describing him as “a man who you’re not going to mess around with,” and adding, “It’s a great honor to have [him].”

Among them were golf star Bryson DeChambeau, Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, and legendary golfer Annika Sorenstam. DeChambeau has been named the new chair of the fitness council.

What is the Make America Fit Again Initiative?

The POTUS on Thursday re-established the Presidential Fitness Test for American schoolchildren, which started in 1966 and was discontinued in 2012 under President Barack Obama. The change was made to focus more on "individual health" rather than "athletic feats".

Under the old regime, schoolchildren were made to perform tough drills as part of their fitness assessment. Trump after signing the executive order told reporters, “This is an important step in our mission to make America healthy again,” .
