The event, held in the Roosevelt Room, marked Trump’s official move to reinstate the traditional fitness initiative through an executive order. The plan also includes expanding the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, in an effort to reverse the trend of declining youth health by reinforcing physical education in American schools. “This is a wonderful tradition, and we’re bringing it back,” Trump declared,
The president went on to applaud Triple H’s involvement, describing him as “a man who you’re not going to mess around with,” and adding, “It’s a great honor to have [him].”
The announcement brought together a lineup of sports celebrities in support of the campaign. Among them were golf star Bryson DeChambeau, Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, and legendary golfer Annika Sorenstam. DeChambeau has been named the new chair of the fitness council.

The POTUS on Thursday re-established the Presidential Fitness Test for American schoolchildren, which started in 1966 and was discontinued in 2012 under President Barack Obama. The change was made to focus more on "individual health" rather than "athletic feats".
