India captain Rohit Sharma bounced back in style with a brilliant century as India faced England in the second ODI on February 9 at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.
In the first ODI in Nagpur, he was dismissed cheaply by Saqib Mahmood, raising concerns about his form ahead of the Champions Trophy starting on February 19. However, in Cuttack, Rohit showed his class.
Chasing a challenging target of 305, he came out aggressively and reached his fifty in just 30 balls. Taking on Mahmood, Adil Rashid, and Mark Wood, he played attacking shots from the start. He brought up his century in style, smashing six off Rashid over mid-on.
