After an eventful IPL 2025 season for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), leg-spinner Digvesh Rathi has stunned one and all by picking up five wickets in consecutive deliveries. A video of the same surfaced on social media as the wrist-spinner bamboozled batters at will during what seemingly was a local T20 league.

Rathi had grabbed the spotlight on multiple occasions during his stint for the Super Giants with his aggressive 'notebook celebration' for which he had to cop fines more than once. At the same time, the Delhi-born cricketer also showcased his skill with the ball under pressure situations, picking up 14 wickets in 13 matches at 30.64. Nevertheless, the Super Giants failed to reach the playoffs for the second consecutive year.

"Come on man, don’t fine them" - Yograj Singh reacts to Digvesh Rathi's celebration
Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh has backed Rathi's controversial notebook celebration by claiming that emotions are bound to boil over during matches. Yograj said players are friends with one another at the end of the day. Speaking to Inside Sport recently, he had stated:
"Come on man, don’t fine them. It’s okay. You are still friends with the bowlers. Everybody is not the same. Emotions go. Forgive them. Obviously, at the end of the day, you’re friends, if you say sorry, the matter is over. Have a big heart and don’t get into these petty things. What is this nonsense going on, fining kids."
