Feyenoord shock Bayern Munich in CHampions League
Bayern Munich's chances of automatic Champions League qualification are hanging by a thread after a shock 3-0 loss to Feyenoord. After the smoke had cleared to a certain extent, the host (Feyenoord) took the lead in the 21st minute. Bayern defender Kim Min-jae misjudged the flight of a long ball and Santiago Gimenez smashed home in the back of the next.
Bayern was hit by an injury crisis with left-back Alphonso Davies leaving the pitch due to injury in first-half stoppage time. Davis's replacement Raphael Guerreiro did not have a great start to the match as he gave away a clumsy penalty moments later. Gimenez scored his second from the spot. Ayase Ueda put the finishing touches on a famous Champions League win in the 89th minute.
Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow was equally impressive as he made excellent stops to repeatedly deny Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala, while Leroy Sane's header hit the post as the visitors pushed for goals inorder to make a comeback into the contest.
Kane's Bayern round off their Champions League group phase campaign next Wednesday at home to Slovan Bratislava, where they will be expected to win comfortably.
