Punjab Kings' co-owner Preity Zinta shed light on what she and Virat Kohli were discussing after the IPL 2025 match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Mullanpur. With both captured laughing by looking at the phone, the Bollywood actress revealed that they showed pictures of each other children and praised Kohli's growth as a person.

With Kohli's match-winning knock of 73* off 54 deliveries resulting in the visiting side's seven-wicket victory, Preity came on to the field to congratulate the star batter on his performance. The two were seen exchanging laughs by looking at the phone.

With one of the fans asking what were they talking about, Preity answered:

"We were showing each other pictures of our children & talking about them ! Time does fly… When I first met Virat 18 years ago, he was a spirited teenager buzzing with talent & fire - today he still has that fire & is an icon & a very sweet & doting father."

Virat Kohli currently holds the Orange Cap in IPL 2025

With 443 runs in ten matches at 63.28, the former Royal Challengers skipper is currently the leading run-getter of IPL 2025. He already has six fifty-plus scores and has been dismissed only once when Bengaluru have chased a total.

Speaking to the host broadcaster after the six-wicket triumph over the Delhi Capitals, Kohli, who made 51, explained his approach during a run-chase claiming that strike rotation is vital on tricky surfaces like the one they found on Sunday. The veteran warned that players can't start blasting the ball to the boundary from the outset, saying, as quoted by ESPN Cricinfo:

"I look at the total on the board, the conditions, the bowlers who are due to bowl, who are the bowlers who are going to be hard to get away. I try and make sure my singles and doubles don't stop and then you keep getting the odd boundary in between, so the game doesn't get stagnant. That's always been my focus, keep working on rotating the strike."

"People are forgetting the importance of partnerships or going deep into the innings in T20s and this year your'e seeing that you can't just come out and tee off from ball one. You need to have professionalism to read the situation and try and get into a position where you can start dominating the bowlers."

RCB will next face the Chennai Super Kings on May 3, Saturday in Bengaluru.
