Preview:
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will return to the field after over a 20-day break from the field as they face the SunRisers Hyderabad at the Ekana International Stadium. While the fixture was initially scheduled to take place at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, the heavy rain forecast in Bengaluru forced the stake holders to shift the venue.
The Royal Challengers have qualified for the second consecutive year for the playoffs but might be rusty after returning from a long break as they look to secure one of the top two spots in the points table. However, they will be boosted by the positive fitness updates of Rajat Patidar and Phil Salt, especially with the playoffs fast approaching. Viewers can also expect the venue to be packed due to Virat Kohli playing for the first time since announcing his Test retirement.
The SunRisers, meanwhile, had beaten the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their latest outing by chasing over 200. Despite their playoff hopes officially done, the Orange Army will look to give their all to finish the season on a high. Travis Head is expected to return to the eleven after missing out on the game against the Super Giants.
