Karun Nair's stellar performance in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024/25

Karun Nair has been in sensational form, amassing 752 runs in just 7 innings, including five centuries. This phenomenal feat sets a strong example ahead of the upcoming Champions Trophy and sends a clear message to the selectors.

Karun's scores in the tournament include: 112*, 44*, 163*, 111*, 112, 122*, and 88*. Remarkably, he has remained unbeaten in seven out of eight innings, setting a world record for the most runs scored in a tournament without being dismissed.

In the second semi-final against Maharashtra at Baroda's Kotambi Stadium, Karun smashed an unbeaten 88 off just 44 balls, helping Karnataka post a massive 380. Karnataka has now qualified for the final and will face Vidarbha on Saturday.

Karun Nair’s last appearance for India was in 2017 against Australia. He is best remembered for his historic triple century against England in 2016. Recently, he was picked by Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025 mega auction for ₹50 lakh. With his red-hot form in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Karun Nair is making a strong case for a return to the national team.
