In a world where social media and public relations often take center stage, Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane has adopted a refreshingly simple approach to making a statement: letting his cricket do the talking.

"My cricket is my PR," Rahane said in a recent interview, emphasizing his focus on performing on the field rather than worrying about his public image.

"I was always shy, now I have opened up. My focus has been to play cricket and go home. Nobody told me that going ahead, certain things would be needed. Today also, sometimes I feel ki bas cricket khelo, ghar jao. Now I am told I need to speak up, talk about my hard work. People say you need to be in the news. I don’t have a PR team, my only PR is my cricket. I have now realized that staying in the news is important. Otherwise, people think that I’m out of the circle" said Rahane.

For Rahane, the proof is in the pudding. The 36-year-old Mumbai-born batter has been working tirelessly to regain his form and make a strong case for his inclusion in the Indian Test team.

Ajinkya Rahane looking for a comeback in the Indian Team

Ajinkya Rahane's recent performances in domestic cricket have been impressive, with the veteran batter scoring runs consistently and showing glimpses of his old self. It's a testament to his hard work and dedication, and a reminder that, in the end, it's the cricket that matters most.

The Test cricket format still remains a huge motivator for Ajinkya Rahane, driving his ambition to make a comeback to the Indian national team.

"Test cricket. There is still fire and passion in me. I’m playing Ranji Trophy at the moment, trying to give my all to the Mumbai team. The goal is clear to make another comeback. When I was dropped a few years ago, I made runs and was picked for the World Test Championship final and then was dropped again. But what is in my control? To play" said Rahane.

As he continues to work towards his goal of regaining his spot in the Indian Test team, Rahane's "my PR is my cricket " approach is a powerful statement of intent. It's a declaration that he's committed to letting his performances do the talking, and that he's willing to put in the hard work necessary to achieve his goals.
