Emily Das from Navy Children School delivered a flawless performance in the girls category of Mumbai City District Chess Association tournament. She secured first place with a perfect 5/5 score at the tournament hosted by Mumbai Chess Centre at Pedder Road, Mumbai. Chaitanya Sandip Nagrale from JB Vaccha School secured second place with an impressive 4/5 score. Both Emily and Chaitanya qualified for the Maharashtra State Under-7 Chess Championships to be held in Pune on May 5 and 6, 2025.

In the boys' category, Priyansh Jain from Shishu Vihar School dominated the field, clinching first place with a clean 6/6 sweep. Dhven Kadakia from Cathedral School secured second place with a strong 5/6 finish in the MCDCA meet.
