The toss at the Ekana International Stadium went in favour of SunRisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins, who opted to bowl first against the Lucknow Super Giants on Monday. The SunRisers made two changes, drafting in Harsh Dubey and Atharva Taide for Jaydev Unadkat and Travis Head.
Meanwhile, the Lucknow Super Giants announced one changes, bringing in Will O'Rourke for David Miller.

While the SunRisers Hyderabad are out of IPL 2025 playoff race, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are narrowly alive to make it to the top four as the two sides face off at the Ekana International Stadium. The Super Giants had defeated the SunRisers earlier in the playoffs and will hope to replicate the same on May 19, Monday.
Despite being out of the playoffs race, the first-choice overseas players for the SunRisers Hyderabad are likely to return for what will be their final three matches. The likes of Travis Head, Pat Cummins and Heinrich Klaasen are likely to play on Monday against the Super Giants. The Orange Army were unlucky not to win against the Delhi Capitals after Pat Cummins and co. ran riot in Hyderabad but rain ruled the roost.
Meanwhile, the Super Giants last played against the Punjab Kings in Dharamsala where the former conceded 236 in their stipulated 20 overs to eventually lose by 37 runs. With the Super Giants losing six games out of 11 and other teams also on the rise, their playoff hopes look bleak. Focus will once again turn to Rishabh Pant, who has had a horror season, especially with the bat after bagging ₹27 crore.
