According to the report by The Sun, was recently acquired by Saudi investment firm SMC Group, led by Mohamed Al-Khereiji a close associate of Ronaldo. Al-Khereiji is notably credited with playing a key role in bringing the Portuguese superstar to Saudi club Al-Nassr in 2022. According to reports, Ronaldo is now negotiating a deal to invest directly in SMC Group, which would effectively make him a co-owner of UD Almeria. While the agreement is yet to be finalised.
