Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) stormed into Qualifier 1 of IPL 2025 with a stunning six-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants but it was Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma who stole the show with an adorable moment.
As Jitesh Sharma hammered the winning six his sixth of a sensational knock of 85 off just 33 balls the RCB dugout erupted. Among the loudest was Virat Kohli, who jumped up in a charged celebration, fists pumping and eyes blazing with passion.
But the night’s most heartwarming scene came moments after the win, when Kohli locked eyes with wife Anushka Sharma in the stands. The two exchanged flying kisses across the field
While Kohli played a vital role with a fiery 54 at the top, the chase of 228. The ex RCB skipper also crossed the 9000-run mark for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, becoming the first batter in world cricket to achieve this milestone for a single franchise. Stand in skipper Jitesh Sharma and Mayank Agarwal. Their 107-run stand turned the tide, sealing the game with eight balls to spare.
RCB became the first team to win all their away matches during the league stage of an IPL edition. Virat Kohli's 8 Fifty-plus scores in IPL 2025, have resulted in wins for RCB. These are the most fifty-plus scores by any batter in wins in an IPL season.

IPL 2025 Playoffs schedule
Following the victory over Lucknow Super Giants, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finished second on the IPL 2025 points table and will face table toppers Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1 on Thursday. In the Eliminator on Friday, June 30, Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on Mumbai Indians (MI). Both matches will be played in Mullanpur. The final will be played in Ahmedabad on June 3rd.
