Former Indian opening batter Sunil Gavaskar and now-turned commentator Sunil Gavaskar was seen having fun with the dog robot named 'Champak' ahead of the IPL 2025 game between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. In a video surfaced on social media, Gavaskar played with the robot, deploying some hilarious moves on the field.

The 18th edition has witnessed the introduction of the robot dog and has been formulated a character-driven, interactive viewing experience. It notably performs gestures like handshakes, fives and jumps, bringing a unique atmosphere to an already exciting IPL matches. A detailed video of the robot dog garnered over 5.8 million views.
