Mumbai Indians star Rohit Sharma dodged a powerful shot from Ryan Rickelton in the ongoing IPL 2025 match against the Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium. Although Rohit was clearly perturbed by the shot at the non-striker's end, he lauded Rickelton for the same when they met halfway down the pitch.
The incident occurred in the second over of the innings sent down by Prince Yadav as the left-hander drove a full delivery down the ground. Rohit, who was at the non-striker's end, narrowly avoided a blow to his face by getting down. Nevertheless, Rohit bumped his gloves with Rickelton to praise the shot. There was also a smile across Akash Ambani's face.

Unlike the last two innings, Rohit's innings didn't last long in this match as the returning Mayank Yadav had him caught at short third man for 12.
