In a pivotal moment early in the IPL 2025 Qualifier 2 clash between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, English pacer Reece Topley pulled off a stunning catch to send back PBKS opener Prabhsimran Singh, dealing a major blow to the Punjab chase.

Chasing a challenging target of 204 runs, Punjab Kings were looking for a solid start when the dramatic moment unfolded in the third over of their innings. Bowling with precision and swing, Trent Boult delivered a sharp delivery that cramped Prabhsimran for room. Attempting to force the ball on the leg side, the opener mistimed the shot and sent it high into the air.

Stationed at fine leg, Topley sprinted to complete an incredible catch, showcasing both athleticism and impeccable judgement. The catch drew a huge roar from the crowd and his Mumbai teammates, as the early wicket swung momentum firmly in MI’s favour.

Prabhsimran, who had looked in promising touch in previous games, had to walk back for a low score, leaving Punjab Kings under pressure in the Powerplay.
