Rajasthan Royals' latest batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi emotionally called his father after his stunning 35-ball hundred in the IPL 2025 game against the Gujarat Titans on Monday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. The left-handed batter, along with team manager Romi Bhinder, spoke to his father, who seemed in Cloud 9 after his son's heroics.

Suryavanshi, who struck a 20-ball 34 on his IPL debut, took things to a whole new level during the clash against the Titans on Monday. The southpaw became the youngest cricketer to score a half-century and century as the Royals gunned down 210 with eight wickets and 25 balls to spare.

When asked who would he first call, the 14-year-old claimed:

"Pehla call papa ko hee karunga. Papa, pranam! Romi Sir hain idhar." (The first call I would make is to my father. Romi sir is here)

When asked by RR team manager to Suryavanshi's dad how he feels, he said:

"Sapna lag raha hai. Aisa lag raha hai sapna dekh rahe hain. Aapke saath 3-4 mahinon se hain. Inko jo banaaye hain." (It feels like a dream, as if we are still dreaming. He has been with you for 3-4 months. The way you made him.)

Bhinder in turn credited him and stated:

"Nahin aapki mehnat toh bahut pehle se hee hai aur hum sab saath mein hain. Maine aapse pehle hee kaha tha, hum ek parivaar hain. Yeh sirf shuruwaat hai, pehli seedhi hai. Shukriya.

Your hard work has been since the start and we are all together. I told you this before, we are all a family. This is only the first step in his progress.)

"What I've been practicing for the last three-four months, the result is showing" - Vaibhav Suryavanshi

With Suryavanshi earning the Player of the Match award for his innings of 38-ball 101, the southpaw said he doesn't check the ground dimensions and just keeps batting. He said at the post-game presentation:

"It feels really good. It was my first century in the IPL in my third innings. What I've been practicing for the last three-four months, the result is showing. I don't see the ground so much, just focus on the ball."
