With IPL 2025 reaching its business end and almost all the playoff spots getting confirmed, the BCCI has announced the venues for the playoffs. Although it was decided before that the Eden Gardens will host the final, the venue for the same has now been shifted to the gigantic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3.

The PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh will host the Qualifier on May 29, Thursday, followed by the Eliminator on Friday May 30. Apart from the final, the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium will also stage the Qualifier 2 on June 1. The venue has previously hosted the final, doing so in 2023 but it turned out to be a two-day affair due to rain.

Hyderabad and Kolkata were supposed to stage the final four games of the 18th edition of IPL before the border tensions between India and Pakistan forced the suspension of the tournament. The IPL governing council have penned in the venues, keeping in mind the weather conditions and other factors.

Three playoff spots for IPL 2025 filled

Meanwhile, three playoff spots of IPL 2025 have already been filled, with Gujarat Titans, Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru qualifying. The fourth and final berth will be a toss up between the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians, the five-time champions are likely to qualify, should they beat the Capitals on May 21, Wednesday at the Wankhede Stadium.

The Capitals find themselves in a precarious position after winning their first four matches of the season, slipping up in the second half, suffering a string of losses. Axar Patel and co. are currently fifth in the points table with six wins out of 11 completed games and will need something special to beat the Mumbai Indians in the away fixture.
