India looks to bring down Kiwis in Champions Trophy final

Team India will look to bring down New Zealand on Sunday and win their second consecutive ICC Champions Trophy crown and first since 2013 when MS Dhoni's team beat England at Lords. If Rohit Sharma's team manages to lift the trophy in Dubai, this will be their second consecutive ICC tournament victory after last years T20 World triumph in West Indies and USA.

This will not be the first time that both teams will play in the Champions Trophy final. Back in 2000, the tournament was called ICC Knockout in which India was beaten by the Kiwis in a rather close final by four wickets. Chasing 265, Chris Cairns went on to get an unbeaten ton, that took his team to a maiden ICC title. Sourav Ganguly too had slammed a ton for India 117, but his efforts went in vain.

Coming to the present event, India is still unbeaten while New Zealand lost their their only match in the tournament to Men in Blue at the same venue during the group stage. However, with a lot at stake, the Kiwis under Mitchell Santner will look to turn the tables around, while Team India will look to cross the finish line unbeaten. Expect a cracking contest in Dubai on Sunday
