With Virat Kohli establishing himself as one of the best batters in world cricket today, an article from his school Vishal Bharti Public School has gone viral. In the section of Star Alumni, it has been revealed that Kohli often repeated the quote, 'Ma'am, I will be the next Sachin Tendulkar of Indian Team.'
With 27599 runs in 550 international matches, the 36-year-old is next only to Sachin Tendulkar (34357) and Kumar Sangakkara (28016). The former Indian captain is notably the leading century-maker in ODI cricket with 51 when he overtook Sachin Tendulkar's tally during the 2023 World Cup.
