Cricket has always been a game full of emotion, passion, and unforgettable moments. Whether it's international icons or rising youngsters, cricket never fails to bring out the expressive side of its players. Sometimes, it's the youngest players who deliver the most heartwarming ones.
A viral video from a local children’s match has captured the internet’s attention, thanks to an impromptu Bhangra celebration that occurred mid-play. The moment unfolded during a junior-level cricket game, where the fielding team pulled off a playful and perfectly timed celebration before executing a run-out.
After a batter tapped the ball and ran a quick single, the fielder launched a throw towards the bowler’s end. The bowler fumbled the collection, and the batters saw an opportunity for a second run. However, confusion led to both players ending up at the same end, setting the stage for a clear run-out.
What made the moment unforgettable wasn’t the run-out itself but what happened just before it. As the wicketkeeper collected the ball and prepared to remove the bails, the entire fielding team broke into a short, joyous Bhangra dance, adding a touch of flair and pure joy to the dismissal.
The video is going viral on social media and FPJ does not vouch for the authenticity of the video
Antics during cricket match
Antics are no stranger to cricket matches. At the professional level, fans have seen everything from KL Rahul’s now-famous ‘Kantara’-inspired moves, to Virat Kohli imitating Bollywood star Anil Kapoor after key dismissals. Meanwhile, young Lucknow Super Giants spinner Digvesh Rathi also made headlines in IPL 2025 for his 'notebook' celebration—an act that initially earned him a fine before he cheekily adjusted it to stay within the rules.
