Renowned English singer Ed Sheeran was seen sporting the Rajasthan Royals' jersey in his latest song that has been released named 'Sapphire'. Although the video was premiered only on June 6, Friday, the video on YouTube has already garnered well over five lakh views.
Ed Sheeran, who has made multiple trips to India and held concerts, collaborated with Bollywood playback singer Arijit Singh as he had confirmed the same on April 7, 2025. Earlier this Feburary, Sheeran had also shared a scooty ride with Arijit as they went on a ride at the latter's hometown in Jiaganj, in Murshidabad, West Bengal.

Sheeran had notably visited the Rajasthan Royals camp before IPL 2025 and had played cricket with some of the members of the side, following which he got a jersey.

The Royals, meanwhile, had an IPL 2025 to forget as they finished ninth in the points table, winning only four games out of 14. The inaugural IPL champions had lost at least three matches despite being in the box seat initially.
However, Vaibhav Suryavanshi emerged as the brightest prospect for the Royals, having been bought for ₹1.1 crore. The 14-year-old, who hit his first-ever IPL delivery for a maximum, aggregated 252 runs in seven matches at 36 alongside a strike rate of 206.55.
