After the match, Sanju Samson melted hearts with a wholesome moment off the field. As he interacted with fans near the boundary line, a young voice from the stands shouted, “Sanju Samson!” The RR captain, with a warm smile, responded with “Haan Chhotu (Yes, Kiddo).” What followed was a heartwarming interaction where Samson walked up to the child, signed an autograph, and playfully asked, “CSK ke fan ho ya RR?” (“Are you a CSK fan or an RR fan?”)
The little boy’s honest reply, “Donon ka (Fan of both),” brought a grin to the captain’s face. Touched by the moment, Samson gifted his cap to the young fan, a gesture that quickly went viral after Rajasthan Royals shared the clip on their official X (formerly Twitter) handle.

Opting to field first after winning the toss, RR skipper Sanju Samson watched his bowlers put in a solid performance. CSK posted a competitive 187/5, thanks to brisk knocks from Ayush Mhatre (43 off 20) and Dewald Brevis (42 off 25), along with Shivam Dube’s composed 39 off 32. For the Royals, Yudhvir Singh and Akash Madhwal stood out with three wickets apiece, while Tushar Deshpande and Wanindu Hasaranga picked up one each.
In response, RR came out all guns blazing. Youngster Vaibhav Suryavanshi stole the show with a blistering 57-run knock, peppered with four boundaries and as many sixes. He was ably supported by Yashasvi Jaiswal (36 off 19), Sanju Samson (41 off 31), and Dhruv Jurel (31 off 12), as the Royals comfortably crossed the finish line at 188/4 in just 17.1 overs.
