1,009 applicants in all were eligible to take the UPSC Civil Services Exam in 2024. The top scorer on the test was Shakti Dubey, followed by Archit Dongre in third place and Harshita Goyal in second. Although UPSC doesn't release state-wise ranks, Archit is the highest-ranking candidate from Maharashtra.

Making Pune and Punekars proud once again, Archit Parag Dongre from Pune secured an All India Rank of three in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination 2024. He is a graduate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from VIT Vellore in Tamil Nadu and chose Philosophy as his optional subject.

1,009 applicants in all were eligible to take the UPSC Civil Services Exam in 2024. The top scorer on the test was Shakti Dubey, followed by Archit in third place and Harshita Goyal in second.

Who Is Archit Dongre?
He completed his schooling in Mumbai and junior college in Pune. After working at an IT firm for a year, he quit his job to prepare for the UPSC exam. Although UPSC doesn't release state-wise ranks, Archit is the highest-ranking candidate from Maharashtra.

Archit had already passed the UPSC exam in 2023 and placed 153rd, therefore this was not his first attempt at the test.

For the uninitiated, after Delhi, Pune is known as one of the famous hubs for students preparing for civil services exams, with numerous classes in the central part of the city where there are classes and many libraries. Every year, Pune students make it to the CSE lists, and Archit has added his name to this list of students, making Punekars proud.
