A day after a poster of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was seen during an event attended by state minister Gopichand Padalkar in Nashik, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that instructions have been given to take action against those responsible for displaying the photo of the jailed criminal.
Fadnavis emphasized that the government will not tolerate the glorification of any gangster in the state.
On Wednesday, notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's poster was seen at a public gathering addressed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLC Gopichand Padalkar in Nashik. A video of this has gone viral on social media.
Padalkar was addressing the 'Hindu Virat Morcha' in the CIDCO area of Nashik on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a heated discussion is going on about why a poster with Bishnoi's photo was put up there.
Addressing the crowd, Padalkar gave an aggressive speech on the issue of Hindutva. He said, "Pay attention to what girls do in schools and colleges. Hindu girls are currently considered child-bearing machines. There are many castes in the Muslim religion. They do not marry among themselves, and their daughters are cheated. What is the situation in Kashmir? Today, tourists who go there for sightseeing are shot dead after being asked about their religion. The so-called secular people of India should ask those who shoot them about their religion. This is Modi's India — they entered Pakistan and shot terrorists. When the issue of Aurangzeb's tomb comes up, they say it is not important. All halal money is used for anti-Hindu activities."
