Abhijit Chaudhar from Baramati, on Tuesday, shared his 10-11 years of rigorous but heartfelt Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination (UPSC-CSE) preparation journey, as he cleared the exam with an All India Rank of 487 in his last attempt this year.

In his last attempt, he mentioned that he missed his goal last year by just one mark.

His father, Ramdas Chaudhar, is a businessman, and his mother, Anuradha, is a housewife. He hails from Rui in Baramati and studied at Vidya Pratishthan's Marathi Medium School in Baramati.

He completed his engineering from Shivnagar Vidya Prasarak Mandal's College of Engineering, Malegaon (Bk).

In an emotional speech during the felicitation in Rui, he shared that this was his final attempt at the UPSC CSE, and he appeared for the exam solely for his father, who had inspired him deeply. It was his father's dream to see his son clear the exam.

Preparing for CSE since 2013

His wife is also preparing for the exam. He has been preparing since 2013, has written the UPSC Mains examination more than five times, and this was his fifth interview of the UPSC CSE.

He also shared that he narrowly missed achieving his UPSC dream last year by just one mark, which cost him a full year.

On Tuesday, he reflected on his journey and expressed how fulfilling it feels to finally reach his goal after years of hard work.

Meanwhile, Baramati MP Supriya Sule congratulated Ankita Patil on X. Ankita Patil, an alumnus of Pawar Public School, secured the 303rd rank in the final merit list of the Union Public Service Commission examination. "Her achievement is a matter of great pride for all of us. Heartiest congratulations to Ankita and her parents on this success, and best wishes to Ankita for her future endeavors," wrote Sule.

The UPSC declared the results of the Civil Services Examination, 2024. A total of 1,009 candidates have been recommended for appointment across various services, based on their performance and in accordance with the number of vacancies and the rules governing the examination.

Archit Dongre from Pune stood third in the exam. Archit, a Bachelor of Technology graduate in electrical and electronics engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Tamil Nadu, had philosophy as his optional subject, according to the civil services exam results declared by the UPSC.
