In a shocking crime from Maharashtra's Jalgaon, a young man attacked his grandmother with an axe for asking him not to borrow money from others, as his investments in the stock market had gone awry.
As per the information, the 73-year-old woman, Leelabai Raghunath Vispute, was seriously injured and fought for 12 days before succumbing to her injuries in Pune on Tuesday. The accused has been identified as Tejas Poddar. This incident occurred on June 26.
Police investigations reveal that Leelabai had warned Tejas not to borrow money from others, as his investments in the stock market had gone awry. In a fit of anger and frustration, the young man, forgetting all human relationships, attacked his grandmother with an axe, leading to this tragic outcome.
Many people are falling into traps created by false promises of high returns from the stock market. Some have been cheated, others have gone into debt, and crimes are increasing due to the chaos surrounding stock market investments.
Leelabai had come to stay with her daughter for a few days. After the attack, she was admitted to a rural hospital, then transferred to a private hospital in Jalgaon, and finally moved to a hospital in Pune for further treatment.
