In yet another shocking case of drunk driving, a doctor allegedly under the influence of alcohol rammed his speeding car into two motorcycles on the Karad-Dhebewadi road near Dhebewadi junction around 10 PM on Wednesday. The accident occurred close to the highway police aid station in Malkapur.
Three individuals — two women and a man — were injured in the crash, and the two-wheelers were severely damaged. The doctor, reportedly from Karve, created chaos at the scene with his erratic behavior. A large crowd gathered, and traffic was briefly disrupted.

Alert locals informed the police, who quickly reached the spot and detained the doctor. However, upon being brought to the police station, he allegedly began arguing with the officers. Later, during a mandatory medical check-up at the sub-district hospital, he again got into a heated exchange — this time with both police personnel and medical staff.
The Karad City Police registered the case and arrested him.
