Residents in several parts of the city will face a day-long water cut on Friday, August 15, as the Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited carries out urgent maintenance and repair work.
According to the Pune Municipal Corporation’s Water Supply Department, the shutdown will affect the Bhama Askhed Jackwell and Pump House and Kuruli Water Purification Centre between 9 am and 6 pm.
Areas that will face water cut includes Lohegaon, Kalas Dhanori, Tingre Nagar, Vimannagar, Badgaonsheri, Kalyani Nagar, Vishrantwadi, Phule Nagar, Yerawada, Kharadi, Alandi Municipal Council and nearby localities.
Chief Engineer Nandkishore Jagtap has urged residents to store enough water in advance and cooperate during the maintenance work.
