A video is going viral on social media in which a chunk of plaster of Paris (POP) falls on a Class 6 student who was playing in the parking lot of a housing society.
While sharing the video, many X (formerly Twitter) users, as well as some news outlets, have claimed that the video is from Pune. However, the video is actually from Surat, and the incident took place on April 11.
According to a report in Desh Gujarat, the 12-year-old boy has been identified as Mantra Ketanbhai Akbari, a resident of Blue City Apartment in the Simada area of Surat.
On April 11, Mantra was playing with his friends when a piece of POP fell on him from the fifth floor of the building. He suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to a hospital.

For further treatment, he was referred to another hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries after battling for life for over 10 days.
