The bodies of a 40-year-old government official and a college student were found at the base of a 1200-foot deep valley in the Konkankada area of Durgawadi, Junnar taluka, Pune district. Initial investigations suggest a case of suicide. The discovery has sent shockwaves through the region.
As per the News18 report, the deceased have been identified as Ramchandra Sahebrao Pardhi (40), a Talathi from Shrigonda, and Rupali Santosh Khutan Amboli, a college student from Junnar. Both had been reported missing by their families prior to the discovery.
It has come to light that both of them killed themsevles by suicide. A suicide note in this regard has also been recovered by the police. Ramchandra Pardhi has given a detailed explanation in the suicide note as to why he killed himsef. He has also made serious allegations against his wife and her family.

Suicide note blamed wife
He also alleged that his wife had an affair with a young man from her village. Therefore, she never gave him mental or physical happiness, he claimed in the note. "I do not want to live because of the defamation caused by my wife and her relatives. Please hold them responsible for my death and take strict action," Ramchandra Pardhi stated in the suicide note. In the note, he also apologized to his parents, siblings, and children.
Local villagers spotted a white car near the Reverse Waterfall for several days. Shoes belonging to a man and a woman were found near the cliff edge. The search was temporarily halted due to fog and rain but resumed the following day when the bodies were recovered by the Junnar police and rescue team. The bodies were sent for autopsy at Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Rural Hospital.
Police are continuing their investigation into the incident, which has raised many questions in the local community.
