Yashwant Mandai in Nashik, which has been in existence since the time of the Municipal Corporation, is in a dangerous condition and will soon be demolished. The Nashik Municipal Corporation's construction department has launched a tender process in this regard.
Yashwant Mandai was established to increase trade. The Mandai became famous and became the identity of old Nashik. But as the city developed, commercial buildings came up. Over time, the importance of Yashwant Mandai decreased. However, since the problem of vehicle parking was serious in the central part of the city, former corporator Surekhatai Bhosale had demanded that a parking lot be built at that place. A proposal was also submitted to the Smart City Company in this regard.

Among the 52 projects of the Smart City Company, it was decided to build a multi-storey parking lot at Yashwant Mandai. However, over time, the Smart City Company canceled this proposal. After conducting a structural audit of the market, the Municipal Corporation received a report stating that the building was old and in a dangerous condition. As a result, the Municipal Corporation issued notices to the tenants to vacate the market.
