In a shocking early morning accident, a private bus overturned into a roadside ditch at Adhegaon Shivara on the Solapur-Pune highway after the driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. on Thursday (June 5), leaving 30 passengers injured, including 20 seriously, according to police sources.
The private bus (registration MH 48 K 1918) was traveling from Latur to Pune late Wednesday night. As it neared Adhegaon Shivara, the driver lost control, and the bus veered off the road, flipping into a ditch with a loud crash that alerted nearby residents.

Local citizens and drivers of passing vehicles rushed to the scene and helped rescue the injured passengers. Emergency services were notified, and police arrived promptly to assist in transporting the injured to the nearest hospital for immediate treatment.
The cause of the accident is believed to be the driver falling asleep, though further investigation is ongoing. All injured passengers are currently under medical care, and authorities are monitoring their condition.
