New Delhi: The next Delhi Chief Minister is set to take the oath at a gala event on Thursday, February 20. Ahead of the grand ceremony, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which made its historic comeback in the national capital after 27 years, has a special guest list planned for the event.

According to a report by NDTV, sources revealed that the BJP has extended invites to gig workers, cab and auto drivers, farmers, as well as, slum leaders.

Women beneficiaries of the BJP's welfare schemes are also invited to the event. Women's vote count was comparatively higher during the 2025 Delhi Assembly election, which reflects their growing electoral influence.

The party’s cash transfer promises also secured their support.

Additionally, invites to auto-rickshaw drivers and farmers also hold political significance, as the former are seen as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) loyalists, while the latter's protests over farm laws and MSP threatened the BJP's electoral prospects, including in Delhi.

As per the report, sources suggest that the guest list aligns with the BJP’s 'sabka saath, sabka vikas' agenda, signalling a push for an inclusive government in Delhi.

Bollywood A-Listers & Other Bigwigs to Attend

As per the NDTV report, the guest list for the Delhi CM’s oath ceremony includes union ministers, BJP chief ministers and MPs, along with over 50 movie stars, industrialists, and diplomats.

Courtesy invites were also sent to outgoing CM Atishi, Arvind Kejriwal, and Congress’ Delhi chief Devender Yadav. Meanwhile, suspense over the new CM continues as BJP’s Parliamentary Board selects observers to oversee the MLA meeting where key appointments will be finalized.
