Thane (Maharashtra), July 09: A shocking CCTV footage has surfaced on social media in which it can be seen that a man is brutally assaulting a 12-year-old boy inside the lift of a building in Maharashtra's Ambernath. The incident was caught on the CCTV camera installed inside the lift and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. It can be seen in the video that the man enters the lift angrily and then slaps the kid. He is also seen in the video biting the kid on his hand.
Details About The Incident
There are reports that the incident occurred inside the lift of Patel Xenon Housing Project located in Palegaon in Ambernath on July 4 at around 5 PM in the evening. There are reports that the man was angry as the boy did not stop the lift for him on the 14th floor. The video shows that the boy is closing the lift door when the man suddenly enters.
As per reports from Lokmat, the victim has been identified as Tyagi Panday. He left his house in the evening to attend his classes. However, when he took the lift from the 14th floor, the lift stopped on the 9th floor. He saw that there was no one present on the floor, so he tried to close the door of the lift.

Man Threatens To Stab The Kid
The accused identified as Kailash Thawani entered the lift and started thrashing the boy. He starts slapping the boy and beating him badly for reasons unknown. He even bites the child's hand. There are reports that the man also threatened the kid of stabbing him with a knife if he meets him outside. He reportedly said, "Bahar mil chaku se marunga." (Meet outside, I will stab you with a knife.)

Police Action
There are also reports that the man assaulted the kid even after he got off the lift. He also hit him in the lobby. The parents of the kid rushed him to the police station after the incident and registered a case in connection with the matter. There are no reports of the arrest of the accused yet.
DCP Sachin Gore told IANS, "An incident has surfaced where a 12-year-old minor was brutally beaten inside a lift in a housing society in the Palegaon area of Ambernath. The assault was captured on the lift's CCTV camera. Following the incident, a case has been registered against the accused at Shivajinagar Police Station in Ambernath."
The internet users are condemning the attack on the minor and demanding strict action against the accused.
