The Worli police have arrested an individual from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, for sending a threatening message to Salman Khan and demanding ₹5 crore through the Mumbai traffic police's WhatsApp helpline. The arrested individual, identified as Shaikh Hosen Shaikh Mausin (24), is a resident of Jamshedpur and sells vegetables. Following his arrest, the Worli police will present him in a Jharkhand court for a transit remand, after which he will be brought to Mumbai, said the Senior Police Inspector of Worli Police Station.

The accused sent a message to the traffic police helpline on the afternoon of October 17, demanding ₹5 crore to end the enmity between Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi. He also claimed to be a member of the Bishnoi gang and threatened that if the money was not paid, Salman Khan would face dire consequences similar to those involving Baba Siddique.

After receiving the message, the Worli police initiated an investigation. During the inquiry, the accused sent another message to the traffic police apologizing and stating that he made a mistake and had no ties to the Bishnoi gang. The police are currently making arrangements to bring him to Mumbai. For the past five to six days, the Worli police team had been in Jharkhand searching for the accused, who had left his home and switched off his mobile phone to evade capture. After taking a member of the accused's family to the local police station, the accused ended up getting caught in the police net.
