The Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe Development Corporation has called upon unemployed individuals from the Matang community and its 12 sub-castes in Raigad district to apply for financial assistance under various schemes for the year 2025–26.
These include the 50% Subsidy Scheme, Seed Capital Scheme, and Direct Loan Scheme. The initiative is aimed at supporting Scheduled Caste families living below the poverty line, with an annual income not exceeding ₹3 lakh.
District Manager Ravindra Dhanur informed that the Corporation has set specific physical and financial targets for the district under each scheme. " The Subsidy Scheme has a project limit of Rs 50,000 with a target of 40 beneficiaries. The Seed Capital Scheme has a project limit of Rs7 lakh with a target of 30 beneficiaries. The Direct Loan Scheme, with a project limit of Rs 1 lakh, will also benefit 30 individuals," informed an official.
As per the Government Resolution dated November 4, 2022, the Direct Loan Scheme has been approved to provide financial assistance with priority given to applicants from rural areas, recipients of state-level sports awards, and family members of martyred defence personnel.
To be eligible, applicants must be permanent residents of Maharashtra and belong to the Matang community or its 12 recognized sub-castes. They must be between 18 and 50 years of age and possess a minimum CIBIL credit score of 500. Applicants should not have availed any previous benefits from the Corporation. Only one person per family is eligible, and the annual income must not exceed ₹3 lakh. The applicant must also have relevant experience or training in the intended trade or business. All necessary documents, certificates, agreements, and the loan application must be submitted as per the Corporation’s guidelines.
Application forms are being made available free of cost at the Corporation’s District Office.
Eligible individuals must fill out the form in triplicate and submit it along with the required documents at the Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe Development Corporation's district office, located at Shriram Samarth Housing Society Ltd., Flat No. 2, Ground Floor, behind Maruti Mandir, Chendhare, Alibag. Applications will be accepted on working days between 10 AM and 5 PM.
