Quasar 3.0: National-Level Hackathon Kicks Off With 56 Teams Competing To Solve Real-World Challenges At Mumbai's Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan College

The final round a national-level hackathon competition, Quasar 3.0, was inaugurated on Saturday at the Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan's College of Engineering and Visual Arts, Mumbai. As many as 56 teams comprising 207 students from all over India are taking part.

Mumbai: The final round a national-level hackathon competition, Quasar 3.0, was inaugurated on Saturday at the Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan's College of Engineering and Visual Arts, Mumbai. As many as 56 teams comprising 207 students from all over India are taking part.

The inaugural function was attended by Appasaheb Desai, general secretary of Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan and Vinay Singh, founder director of Kanishka Software.

Desai said with the advent of technology there comes challenges and problems. "In order to provide solutions to such problems we have organised this 24-hour national level hackathon. The bright minds from the world of engineering and technology have come together from every nook and corner of India to provide solutions to the most pressing problems faced by our societies. In order to encourage such students we have organised this technical event," he explained.

The other guests who were present included Gajanan Kulkarni, Yameen Hakim, Sandesh Jain, Swapnil Dabade, Anubhav Shukla, Snehal Umbarkar and office-bearers of the institute.

The Quasar 3.0 is taking place with the help of a student, Pranav Yamagekar. The technical event will culminate at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday followed by prize distribution.
