A prostitution racket involving Five Bangladeshi nationals was busted by Social Activist Dr. Binu Varghese, resulting in the rescue of two girls a 17-year-old minor and a 20-year-old adult, both reportedly from Bangladesh.
The two girls had arrived from Ahmedabad just a day earlier and were supposed to get down at Borivali Station, where they were to be picked up by pimps and taken to Naigaon to be pushed into a prostitution racket for pre-arranged customers.
Three Bangladeshi pimps were arrested during the operation. Dr. Varghese had shared vital inputs including photos and contact numbers of the victims and accused with MBVV DCP Crime Sandeep Doifode.
Acting swiftly, a team led by PI Devidas Handore reached the Naigaon location, traced the individuals, and apprehended the accused on the spot.
FIR procedures are currently underway.
