Palghar, Maharashtra: The Palghar District Police has been ranked first in Maharashtra for its people-friendly administration, public engagement, crime resolution, and citizen accessibility. Under the state government's 100-day evaluation under the Seven-Point Program, the Palghar District Police scored nearly 91 out of 100, surpassing all 34 district police forces in the state. This achievement is attributed to the innovative concepts and people-oriented administrative approach of District Superintendent of Police Balasaheb Patil.

The state government's 100-day, Seven-point program assessed police performance across 16 police station areas in the district. The assessment criteria included website development, ease of living initiatives, cleanliness drives, streamlined complaint resolution, office facilities, promotion of economic and industrial investment, and regional office visits. The Palghar District Police excelled in all these areas, earning the top ranking from the Home Department.

This is not the first time the Palghar police have been recognized for administrative excellence. During a previous 50-day office reform initiative that evaluated all state departments, Palghar SP Office also ranked first. On February 27, Superintendent Patil was felicitated by the Chief Minister in recognition of this achievement.

Innovative initiatives by the Palghar police included:

. Upgrading their website to make it more user-friendly.

. Introducing a chatbot and live chat feature for citizen engagement.

. Launching the 'Cyber Safe Palghar’ campaign under the 'Ease of Living' initiative.

. Implementing AI-based systems in office work.

. Organizing Swachhata (cleanliness) campaigns.

. Holding dedicated grievance redressal days.

. Deploying a digital office management system and AI for administrative tasks.

. Using the 'Third Eye' application to enhance patrolling efficiency.

District Superintendent of Police Balasaheb Patil credited the achievement to the hard work of Additional District Superintendent of Police Vinayak Narale, all the district's sub-divisional police officers, police station inspectors, and all police personnel. He stated that the credit for this accomplishment goes to all the police in the district.

The continuous top-ranking performance reflects the Palghar police department's commitment to innovation, transparency, and citizen-focused policing.
