Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s (NMMC) two CBSE schools located in Seawoods and Koparkhairane have received permanent recognition from the Maharashtra state government, securing their CBSE board affiliation until 2030. This development ensures that students will now face no hurdles in appearing for future board examinations.

Both schools—School No. 93 in Seawoods Sector 50 and School No. 94 in Koparkhairane Sector 11—were launched on August 4, 2018, with the aim of offering affordable, quality English-medium education to students from middle-class families. Since their inception, the schools have seen a steady rise in enrolment and have received strong support from students and parents alike, said a statement released by NMMC.

Currently, the schools offer classes from Grade 1 to Grade 8. They are equipped with modern facilities such as smart TVs, CCTV surveillance, computer labs, digital classrooms, sports infrastructure, mid-day meals, and experienced teachers. Students are provided with personal guidance and have actively participated in various competitions, earning accolades at different levels.

School No. 94 in Koparkhairane has also been designated as a ‘PM SHRI School’, receiving recognition at the national level. The schools are operated in collaboration with the Akanksha Foundation and have been adding new grades each academic year since 2018.

The achievement has been made possible under the guidance of NMMC Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde, with continued efforts from Additional Commissioner Sunil Pawar and Deputy Commissioner of Education Sangharatna Khillare, along with the education department staff.

Dr. Shinde congratulated the education team for this milestone, calling it a significant achievement in NMMC’s journey toward delivering quality education.
