Navi Mumbai: A massive fire broke out in the Geetanjali Tower located in Sector 35 of Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, on Wednesday afternoon around 1.15 PM. The blaze is believed to have occurred from a electric duct. The Initial information indicates that the fire broke out on the 10th floor of the building and no flats damaged due to the fire.
According to initial reports, the fire began in the early afternoon, sending plumes of thick black smoke into the sky. Disturbing visuals of the incident surfaced online, showing the building engulfed in flames, causing panic among local residents. However, no injuries have been reported so far.
Upon receiving the distress call, multiple fire tenders were promptly dispatched to the scene. Senior officials also rushed to the location to assess the situation and coordinate firefighting efforts. The fire was eventually brought under control, and cooling operations are currently underway.
The video shared by the news social media page Gallinews_com on Instagram, shows a plume of black smoke billowing out of the building.
